CIEL to speak at event jointly organized by UN Environment Program and the UN Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights, December 12, 2013

On Thursday 12 December at the UN Headquarters in NYC, Dr. Marcos Orellana will speak at a side-event jointly organized by UN Environment Program and the UN Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The panel will address the role of human rights and the environment in the post-2015 development agenda currently under consideration by the United Nations. CIEL has joined a long list of civil society organizations calling for human rights, including the right to a healthy environment, to be embedded in the core of the sustainable development agenda.
