Alana Carlson
Marine Geoengineering Campaginer
Prior to joining CIEL, Alana worked on the human impacts of climate change at the Quaker United Nations Office, Geneva. Her work included advancing fair finance to address the adverse impacts of climate change within the UNFCCC and working with Indigenous leaders worldwide to address human rights concerns associated with geoengineering. She also gained experience as a researcher for Geneva Water Hub where she led groundbreaking original research on how the financialization of water impacts the human right to water, health and sanitation.
Alana holds a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia and an MA in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute.
