Aubrey Manahan
Campaigner, People, Land & Resources Program
She holds a BA in International Development Studies from UCLA and a Master of International Development with a concentration on economic, environmental, and social development from American University’s School of International Service. During her Master’s program, Aubrey served as a research assistant, tracking international human rights and environmental violations in extractive industries.
Prior to joining CIEL, she worked in progressive foreign policy, including Stop the War on Yemen and Families Belong Together campaigns. Her work also included promoting the cross-sectoral effects of climate change on national security and human rights. Aubrey has a background in advocacy, communications, and campaigns focused on advancing environmental protections, democracy and human rights.
