Bruna de Almeida Campos
Senior Campaigner, Offshore Oil & Gas
Bruna Campos (she/her) is a senior campaigner in CIEL’s Climate & Energy program, based out of Fribourg, Switzerland. Her work focuses primarily on halting offshore oil and gas expansion.
Prior to joining CIEL, Bruna worked more than 14 years with other NGOs on international policies, including for BirdLife and EuroNatur. Bruna is a successful environmental advocate, having helped countries commit to greater climate and nature financing, influencing ocean policies to help seabird populations, and supporting renewable energy to align with nature, to name a few.
Bruna was born in France and holds nationality from Angola, Portugal and Belgium. Bruna is very passionate about environmental justice and the intersectionality with gender and racial equality.
Bruna has a BSc (Honours) in Zoology from University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Biodiversity Survey from University of Sussex. She speaks four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish and has basic knowledge of German and Italian.
